Research Associate I (GIS Technician)

Position Summary The Children's Environmental Health Initiative (CEHI) is a research, education, and outreach program committed to fostering environments where all people can prosper. This position contributes to research by assisting with the collection, entry, and curation of spatial data and descriptive results. It provides support to a series of spatially based research projects, as well as a geospatial training program, and helps maintain the databases and documentation related to CEHI’s research productivity. Duties & Responsibilities Technical support for GIS related research projects Dataset management Participate in other duties and related projects as assigned Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. A minimum of one year related research experience (including part-time research assistantship experience). Entry level knowledge of research concepts, practices and procedures. Experience batch geocoding large datasets. Ability to write technical documents and research reports. Ability to work in a team‑based environment; meet deadlines in a fast‑paced multitasking environment. Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills.
