Dietary Assistant
Myerstown Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Dietary Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Myerstown, PA. This role supports the dietary department in ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Position Details
- Status: Full-Time
- Schedule: Every Other Weekend and Holiday
- Pay Rate: $12.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with meal service and ensure timely delivery of food trays
- Support the cook with meal preparation as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of worktables, refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment
- Transport food trays to and from dining areas and dishwashing stations
- Follow sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures
- Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup duties
- Ensure dietary areas remain clean, organized, and stocked
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous dietary, food service, or healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
