MRI Technologist Contract Opportunity

An experienced MRI Technologist is needed for a contract opportunity within a respected outpatient medical oncology department. This part-time position offers an exciting chance to apply your imaging skills in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Schedule:

• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00pm 11:00pm
• Saturday: 7:00am 11:00pm
• Part-time, 39 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Position patients and select appropriate coils (such as head or knee), adhering to protocols specified by the radiologist
• Demonstrate and utilize communication tools, including microphones for patient-technologist interaction during scans
• Accurately enter data regarding patient history, scanned anatomical areas, and scan specifics into medical imaging systems
• Input scan sequences and calibrate transmitters/receivers as needed
• Continuously observe patients for safety and comfort during scans via control room and video monitoring
• Assess image quality and capture scanned images using relevant software
• Educate staff about MRI safety protocols, specifically regarding the handling of metal in magnet areas
• Perform additional MRI-related duties as directed

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years' recent experience as an MRI Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited radiology program
• Current NJ State RT License and MR Certification
• Active BLS certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making abilities
• Comfortable reading/interpreting technical documents in English

$2,223 - $2,371/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 39 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
