Mental Health Therapist (FT)

Position Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities Conduct a thorough, accurate, clinically sound Psychosocial Assessment with the individual in a timely manner. Maintain the clinic record, including documentation of activities performed as part of the service delivery process, and obtain signatures from patient regarding treatment, as necessary. Provide internal education regarding DBT, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and service plan documentation. Prepare clinical reports and individualized service plans utilizing agency electronic clinical documentation software, ensuring compliance with best clinical practices, contracts, regulatory and other legal requirements. Maintain a working knowledge of the Arizona Department of Health Services and Arizona Board of Behavioral Health roles within the Arizona behavioral health system. Conduct brief intervention, individual, family and group counselling within scope of practice, participating in redirecting individual behavior while maintaining a safe milieu when necessary. Arrange for referral and placement of individuals in other community substance abuse programs, housing, or employment opportunities. Provide case management services to promote recovery and community reintegration, conducting crisis interventions and follow up as necessary. Follow up with appropriate leadership regarding all cases on a weekly basis. Develop therapeutic relationships with clients and determine and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field. Unrestricted license as Licensed Mental Health Professional in Arizona (LMSW, LAC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in mental health, substance abuse treatment or relevant work providing psychotherapy to both individuals and groups in a clinical or behavioral health setting. Knowledge of principles of recovery, family of origin/intergenerational issues, and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Knowledge and experience working with special populations (serious mental illness, substance abuse diagnoses, brain injuries and those over 60 years of age). Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Shift Differentials

• 2/hr Monday-Thursday Nights
• 3/hr Friday-Sunday Nights
• 2/hr Saturday-Sunday Days
