• Annual Salary QMHP or Professional Counselor Associate (pre-licensure): $68,000 - $78,200

POSITION DETAILS

Phoenix Counseling Center, a program of Addictions Recovery Center, Inc. (ARC), provides trauma-informed mental health and substance use disorder treatment in Southern Oregon, with a strong focus on co-occurring treatment for individuals 12 and older.

We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist to provide comprehensive youth, family, and adult mental health services in an outpatient setting. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, client-centered environment, delivering trauma-informed care to support individuals with or without co-occurring substance use disorders. As we are a co-occurring treatment agency, a candidate needs to register and become certified as a CADC 1 within two years of hire.

As part of Phoenix Counseling Center, the therapist will integrate mental health treatment with a whole-person, recovery-oriented approach while working alongside a multidisciplinary team.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Phoenix Counseling Center, you will:

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy in an outpatient setting using trauma-informed, evidence-based practices
• Conduct clinical assessments & develop service plans to support client recovery and wellness
• Ensure timely & accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA, CFR 42 Part II, and OAR standards
• Deliver crisis intervention & risk assessments as needed, including safety planning and de-escalation support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care with medical providers, case managers, and peer mentors
• Advocate for clients & provide case management by connecting them with resources and community support
• Maintain ethical & professional standards in alignment with licensing regulations, ARC policies, and clinical best practices

Requirements:

EDUCATION, SKILLS & CREDENTIALS

Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

• Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field
• Oregon licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW preferred
• QMHP or Professional Counselor Associate-eligible candidates encouraged to apply
• MHACBO-registered CADC-I, II, or III preferred
• Experience providing mental health counseling for youth, families, or individuals in recovery settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with a trauma-informed approach
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.)
• Ability to provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
• Knowledge of HIPAA and CFR 42 Part II confidentiality regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
• Cultural competency and sensitivity in providing inclusive, client-centered care.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates encouraged to apply

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation and benefits include:

• Most ARC employees are scheduled four days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week
• Starting salary $68,000.00 to 92,000.00 per year, depending on credentials, skills, and experience
• Three (3) to six (6) weeks of vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service
• Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours
• Ten (10) paid holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
