Work Environment\n

This role supports a fully remote work environment, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with the clinical team. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts depending on the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the specific needs of older adults, identifying critical areas for intervention.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that account for cognitive, physical, and social factors affecting the health of your patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques in both individual and family therapy settings to address issues such as depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care that aligns with best practices.

• Respond effectively to mental health crises involving elderly patients, providing immediate support and intervention.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available support resources, ensuring they are well-informed and empowered.

• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, which includes individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health issues. You will work with elderly patients facing unique challenges, such as dementia-related disorders, depression, anxiety, and situational adjustments related to aging. Your role is pivotal in helping these individuals navigate the complexities of their mental health and achieve a better quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona is essential.

• We prefer candidates with a minimum of two years post-licensure experience, particularly in geriatric mental health.

• A strong understanding of geriatric mental health disorders, including evidence-based treatment modalities, is critical.

• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy to older adults is highly valued.

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a patient-centered approach and empathy.
