Work Environment\n

As a remote position, you will enjoy the flexibility of working from home while being an integral part of our virtual mental health team. Our working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient schedules. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the specific needs of older adults, considering cognitive challenges and psychosocial factors.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and family therapy.

• Deliver individual and family therapy sessions to address various geriatric psychiatric conditions, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, effectively managing acute situations involving elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation of patient interactions, in compliance with ethical standards and healthcare regulations.

• Engage actively in team meetings, contributing to case consultations and professional development initiatives, and fostering a collaborative work culture.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices in geriatric mental health, utilizing this information to enhance therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, serving elderly individuals struggling with a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, and cognitive impairments. By understanding the complexities of aging, you will provide compassionate care that respects the dignity and individuality of each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating capability in providing therapy for an elderly population.

• Expertise in understanding geriatric mental health disorders and applying evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Proven ability to deliver patient-centered therapeutic care and establish rapport with older patients and their families.

• Strong proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology used in therapy settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
