Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations by performing initial assessments that analyze clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, which involves gathering detailed histories and understanding their unique circumstances.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients, including adults and children facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to encourage healing and personal growth among clients.
\n
• Maintain thorough documentation of all client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
\n
• Regularly monitor and assess clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting interventions as necessary and providing ongoing support and guidance.
\n
• Collaborate proactively with fellow mental health professionals, primary care physicians, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to client treatment.
\n
• Manage referrals and coordinate care with psychiatrists and other specialists, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support that addresses all aspects of their health.

• Engage with family members and caregivers of clients to provide education and resources aimed at supporting their loved ones through mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will have the privilege of working with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing a variety of mental health issues. Your empathetic approach and clinical skills will be central to creating a safe space for clients to explore their emotions, experiences, and pathways to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
\n
• A strong foundation in psychotherapy principles and practices, and familiarity with the latest developments in the field.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor within a telehealth framework or similar digital service delivery model.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, to document patient interactions and treatment plans.
\n
• Experience working with clients who have dual diagnoses, including those with co-occurring physical health conditions and substance use disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and a thorough understanding of psychotropic medications.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate support, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
