This position offers flexibility through remote work arrangements while servicing an outpatient office setting. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological condition and needs of older adults.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s cognitive, emotional, and social circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and supportive therapy, to provide both individual and family counseling.

• Work collaboratively with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring comprehensive care pathways are established.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health episodes, demonstrating a calm and effective response.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health disorders, treatment plans, and community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in line with compliance standards and organizational policies.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continued education projects to enhance service delivery.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in geriatric psychiatry to continuously improve practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is to serve the geriatric population, addressing a wide range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment difficulties. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT licensure in the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role, preferred.

• Proficient understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.

• Ability to engage with older adults and establish trusting relationships.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and progress tracking.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
