Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing therapists to effectively manage their work-life balance while serving clients in a modern outpatient setting. The remote work structure complements our patient-focused approach, increasing access to our services while reducing the stress associated with commuting. Therapists can expect a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to discern clients' unique needs and develop tailored treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups, fostering a sense of community among participants addressing common mental health issues.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychological professionals, to ensure seamless continuity of care.

• Deliver crisis intervention services, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies.

• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, including treatment options and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Therapists at Motion in Mind Counseling Center will work with a diverse clientele experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and therapists will employ culturally sensitive approaches that respect and embrace each individual’s unique story, promoting equity in care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and the therapeutic process.

• Demonstrated competency in performing comprehensive mental health assessments and creating effective treatment strategies.
