Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, giving you the flexibility to work from your home office while still being an essential part of our outpatient team. The daily hours are primarily Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on the needs of the patients. You will utilize telehealth technology to connect with clients, ensuring accessibility to mental health care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs of older adults, taking into account factors such as cognitive decline, physical health, and social dynamics.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans according to established best practices, implementing evidence-based therapy techniques to foster patient growth and recovery.

• Provide one-on-one and family therapy sessions, utilizing modalities that are effective for geriatric cases, which may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

• Engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration with geriatric psychiatrists and licensed practitioners, actively participating in case consultations to optimize patient outcomes.

• Offer crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, helping them navigate treatment options and connecting them with community resources that enhance their support network.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, addressing the specific mental health issues that affect this demographic. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and applicable treatment modalities.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and common office software.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this role is approximately USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
