This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while providing vital mental health services to older adults in the Orange, California area. Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a high standard of care for our elderly clients. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly patients, identifying their unique needs, challenges, and goals.

• Develop and customize individualized treatment plans that consider cognitive, physical, and social factors affecting the mental well-being of older adults.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including both individual and family therapy, specifically designed to address geriatric psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, and dementia-related disorders.

• Collaborate regularly with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies to assist elderly patients effectively and compassionately.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, equipping them with the knowledge to navigate their mental health journeys.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively engage in team meetings and case consultations as well as participate in professional development activities to further enhance your skills.

• Stay updated on current research and evidence-based practices in geriatric psychiatry through educational resources and professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be primarily focused on the geriatric patient population, addressing a range of mental health issues prevalent within this demographic. Common conditions you will encounter include depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties arising from life transitions such as retirement, loss of independence, or bereavement. Your expertise will be crucial in offering effective, empathetic support to our clients during some of the most challenging times in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a patient-centered and empathetic approach to care.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual communication platforms to support effective documentation and collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in geriatric mental health settings.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and family therapy to older adults, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
