Work Environment\n

This role is set in a dynamic and supportive telehealth environment, allowing you the flexibility to work remotely from the comfort of your home. While you will primarily engage with patients via video consultations, you will also collaborate closely with a team of geriatric psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure an integrative approach to care. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic and integrated patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies involving elderly patients, ensuring swift and effective support.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treating options, and community resources available to them.

• Maintain precise and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development, staying informed about emerging trends in geriatric psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with older adults, many of whom face complex emotional, cognitive, and social challenges. You will conduct assessments and deliver therapies to individuals struggling with mood disorders, cognitive decline, and other mental health issues. Addressing these concerns is essential to enhance their day-to-day functioning and quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly focused on geriatric populations.

• Strong knowledge base concerning geriatric mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions.

• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy tailored to older adult clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a patient-centered approach and empathy.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications for maintaining accurate patient records.

• Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive team dynamic.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually.
