Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs and concerns of each child or adolescent referred to our services.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy, to effectively address issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower caregivers, offering strategies to foster a healthy and supportive environment at home.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, individualized care for young patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services and immediate support during mental health emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment approaches, and available community resources.

• Maintain diligent and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage actively in team meetings and professional development initiatives to share insights and stay informed about advancements in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population of children and adolescents, ranging from ages 5 to 18, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues. The therapeutic services provided will focus on developing coping mechanisms, enhancing social skills, and facilitating overall emotional growth, ensuring that each young individual receives the unique care they need.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• Completion of continuing education and training as required by the licensing board.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with preferred exposure to child and adolescent populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
