Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological and emotional needs of children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are age-appropriate and tailored to each child’s developmental stage, family dynamics, and unique circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and play therapy to effectively address a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to cultivate a supportive home environment conducive to the child's mental health.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, sharing insights on treatment progress to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive treatment approach.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for children and adolescents facing acute mental health challenges, ensuring timely support and safety measures are enacted.
\n
• Educate clients and families about mental health conditions and available treatment resources, promoting awareness and decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatments given, and progress notes in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development activities, including conferences and workshops, to stay updated on current research, best practices, and innovative therapeutic methods.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is focused on serving children and adolescents, ranging from preschool age through young adulthood, who are experiencing various mental health concerns. Our clientele often presents challenges such as anxiety, mood disorders, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral issues. The therapist will play a key role in guiding these young individuals and their families toward resilience and positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is essential.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and a strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Proven experience in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy to young clients and their families.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients compassionately and effectively.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage and document patient interactions efficiently.

• A collaborative spirit, with an openness to contribute as a vital member of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a similar therapeutic setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
