Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to identify and evaluate the specific needs of children and adolescents seeking services.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that take into account developmental stages and the intricacies of family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to provide effective interventions for a spectrum of mental health challenges.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering a supportive environment conducive to healing.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and allied professionals to coordinate care plans that address multiple aspects of a child’s mental health.

• Administer crisis intervention strategies and provide immediate support during mental health emergencies involving youth.

• Educate children and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, coping strategies, and local community resources.

• Maintain detailed and compliant documentation, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards across all patient interactions.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case discussions, and professional development initiatives to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Stay current on advancements and best practices in child and adolescent mental health through ongoing education and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. Your approach will be child-centered, focusing on building trust and rapport with young clients, as well as providing the necessary support to their families. The objective is to create a nurturing therapeutic environment that promotes growth and resilience among young individuals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist within California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in delivering mental health treatment is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and evidence-based practices.

• Proven experience providing individual and family therapy, with a focus on youth.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a nurturing and empathetic approach.

• Able to establish rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
