Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, enabling you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own space while gaining invaluable experience in virtual therapy practices. Utilizing cutting-edge telehealth platforms, you'll engage with clients through secure, HIPAA-compliant video calls and messaging systems. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, allowing for regular schedules that support a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions virtually, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies and facilitate conflict resolution to address urgent mental health issues.

• Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals to design comprehensive support plans fostering student well-being.

• Document client interactions and progress accurately and confidentially, adhering to both state regulations and ethical guidelines.

• Create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment in therapy sessions that respects trauma-informed care principles.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapeutic skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting children, adolescents, and their families, addressing a spectrum of emotional and behavioral challenges. Your role is particularly vital in schools, where you will work to identify mental health needs and collaborate with educational staff to facilitate supportive learning environments. By providing tailored interventions, you will guide clients toward improved mental health outcomes, ultimately enhancing their capacity to succeed academically and socially.

Qualifications\n

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or an equivalent qualification endorsed by the California State Board.

• Prior experience in mental health counseling for children or adolescents is highly valued.

• Exceptional communication skills and a strong ability to build rapport with young clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
