Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health statuses, ensuring meticulous documentation throughout the treatment process.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of clients, incorporating strategies for both immediate interventions and long-term recovery.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster open dialogue, self-discovery, and healing.

• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to improve outcomes and client satisfaction.

• Collaboratively work with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to create comprehensive intervention plans and coordinate client care.

• Maintain strong communication with families and caregivers to provide guidance and support in managing clients' mental health challenges.

• Stay current with research developments in mental health and participate in training to continuously improve therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will work with a varied patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families grappling with diverse mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. By employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, you will impact not just individual clients but also their families and broader communities.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Successful completion of the National Counseling Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundational knowledge in mental health counseling principles and therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, with a demonstrated ability to manage a caseload of diverse clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

West Hills Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
