Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product owners or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products that meet client expectations, including features, security, availability, resiliency, timelines and costs. Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AWS based products and services (e.g., landing zones, data platforms, developer platforms, cloud‑native services). Translate business and customer needs into AWS service offerings that drive adoption, scalability, and value. Responsibilities Generates the vision and roadmap for the program based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain. Communicates the program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, product owners and the teams. Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products by working closely with finance partners on both personnel and non‑personnel expenses. Provides input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to products or creating new products to support them. Ensures product availability by partnering closely with demand and capacity teammates. Develops business cases for new products and additional features for existing products. Partners with the product owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and subject‑matter expertise and understanding of the business and industry trends. Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AWS based products and services (e.g., landing zones, data platforms, developer platforms, cloud‑native services). Translate business and customer needs into AWS service offerings that drive adoption, scalability, and value. Prioritize features and improvements using data‑driven insights, stakeholder input, and alignment with enterprise objectives. Ensure alignment with the AWS Well‑Architected Framework (Reliability, Security, Cost Optimization, Performance, Sustainability). Act as the voice of the customer for AWS products, ensuring product decisions reflect business needs. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business units, engineering, operations, and compliance. Gather and analyze customer feedback, usage data, and industry trends to refine product direction. Lead stakeholder communications on product vision, roadmap, and release updates. Partner with engineering, DevOps, and SRE teams to deliver AWS product features on time and within scope. Define and maintain product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, with at least 2+ years focused on cloud (AWS preferred). Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.). Proven ability to translate business needs into technical product requirements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with agile methodologies and backlog management (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.). Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Product Manager certification. Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries. Knowledge of cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices. Background in software engineering, cloud architecture, or DevOps. Strategic thinker with a customer‑first mindset. Strong ability to balance innovation with governance and compliance. Data‑driven decision‑maker who can manage competing priorities. Influencer who can engage both technical teams and business leaders. Passionate about cloud technologies and AWS innovation.
