Financial Reporting Consultant

Job Title: Financial Reporting Consultant
Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 (Hybrid: Onsite Monday & Tuesday)
Duration: 6 Months possible extension
Pay Rate: $76.00–$86.32/hr.
Responsibilities
- Lead consolidation of financial results across multiple subsidiaries and prepare consolidated financial statements.
- Perform intercompany eliminations, top-side adjustments, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and support SEC filings, financial statement disclosures, and external reporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and XBRL standards.
- Develop management and Board-level financial reports.
- Conduct accounting research and assess the impact of new accounting standards, regulations, and SEC guidance.
- Lead implementation of new accounting and disclosure requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Consolidation module experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Experience preparing SEC filings and external financial reports.
- Experience with SAP.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Workiva reporting software.
- Knowledge of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Uniform System of Accounts.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience leading accounting policy implementation and process improvement initiatives.
