Senior Food Industry Finance Associate

Role Overview Senior Finance Associate Location: Alhambra, CA 91803 We are seeking a Senior Finance Associate with direct experience in CPG food or beverage to manage day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and analysis. This role will be highly hands-on and responsible for supporting Sales, Supply Chain, and Leadership with accurate financial data, disciplined processes, and actionable insights. The ideal candidate understands the mechanics of trade spend, deductions, chargebacks, promotions, royalties, and distributor economics, and is comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve performance. Key Responsibilities Own monthly close, financial reporting, and variance analysis Build and maintain sales forecasts, budgets, and rolling forecasts Manage trade spend accounting, including: Deductions Chargebacks Billbacks Promotional accruals Coordination with Sales and AR to resolve discrepancies Analyze customer, SKU, and channel profitability Support pricing decisions, margin analysis, and cost-to-serve modeling Track and report on royalties and licensing fees, where applicable Partner with Supply Chain on COGS, inventory, freight, and landed cost analysis Improve finance processes, controls, and reporting tools Prepare materials for leadership reviews and board reporting Qualifications 5–8 years of finance or accounting experience in a CPG food or beverage company Strong working knowledge of: Retail and distributor deductions & chargebacks Trade promotions and billback structures Gross margin and contribution margin analysis Inventory, COGS, and freight cost management Royalties and contract-based revenue Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently Effective communicator who can partner with Sales and Operations Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field What Success Looks Like Clean, accurate monthly close and reporting Improved visibility and control over trade spend and deductions Faster issue resolution with Sales and AR Better insight into profitability drivers and cost opportunities Why Join Us Hands-on role with real ownership Growing CPG brand with complexity and opportunity Collaborative team environment Competitive compensation and benefits Job Type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr A-SHA Foods USA Co Inc
