Staff Accountant

Job Summary The primary purpose of this position is to report, on a timely and accurate basis, facility financial statements. Job Duties & Responsibilities To assist with monthly financial close within the scheduled time frames. Requires a self-starter capable of working independently handling multiple tasks & performing under the pressure of deadlines. Should be professional in appearance, detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills & have a high energy level. Job Requirements Education Four year degree. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Experience 1-2 years of experience in public accounting or in multi-entity general ledger close, financial statement preparation and account reconciliation. Superior level skills in computer technology with knowledge of Microsoft Office and extensive Excel knowledge; experience with Great Plan Dynamics and Management Reporter a plus. Healthcare or long term care experiences a plus. Requires someone with the ability to work as a professional with others in a team environment. Specific Requirements Review and maintain assigned nursing facilities’ general ledgers. Prepare and enter journal entries for payroll, accruals, and other month end items. Maintain balance sheet and bank account reconciliations monthly. Maintain capital expenditures ledger. Other related financial/census reporting. Generate monthly reports to be distributed to facility and corporate management. Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and CFO.
