Medication Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Ransomville Manor, a 142-bed Adult Care Community and Assisted Living Residence situated on 6 beautiful acres in Niagra County, is seeking dependable, caring Medication Technicians for all shifts to assist residents with their medications and support their daily well-being. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and committed to treating residents with dignity and respect. Responsibilities Assist residents with self-administration of medications according to prescribed orders, facility policy, training, and applicable requirements. Maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MARs) and promptly document medication assistance, refusals, and concerns. Report medication errors, missed doses, changes in condition, and suspected side effects to the supervisor or nurse. Maintain secure medication storage and complete required inventory and controlled substance counts. Coordinate medication refills and communicate with the pharmacy and care team as directed. Assist with resident care and other assigned duties within the scope of training. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous medication assistance or adult care/assisted living experience preferred. Ability to complete required training and demonstrate medication assistance competency before performing duties independently. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow written instructions. Dependability and a respectful, patient approach to working with older adults.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Final compensation depends on experience and credentials. Shift Differential for Evening and Overnight Shifts. Pay Increase for PCA/HHA certification. Benefits include: Medical Paid Time Off 401(k)
