Job Summary We are seeking a Roofing Service Technician Assistant to assist in locating leaks, performing professional quality roof repairs, and supporting operations and maintenance of equipment. Key Responsibilities Assist in locating leaks and performing professional quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner, treating customers and fellow employees with courtesy and respect. Complete defined scope projects and preventative maintenance activities. Assist in the operation and maintenance of all company‑issued equipment such as vehicles, power tools, phones, and hand tools. Maintain trucks to ensure they are always stocked and cleaned inside and out. Utilize industry standard manufacturer‑approved repair techniques. Complete daily assignments in a timely manner with proper paperwork. Perform all other duties as assigned. Remove clutter on roof and maintain a clean & neat work area. Transport hot tar from kettle to work area. Clean and maintain roofing equipment. Cover and secure material and equipment on roof. Clean and maintain dumpster and staging area on ground. Keep debris away from roof. Keep material grouped and properly staged. Spuds, seals and maintains tie‑ins. Properly prepare and prime surfaces. Safely dispose of hazardous materials. Place plates and screws in proper locations. Cover equipment and materials as needed. Aware of surroundings – people, hazards, scopes of work. Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required Education High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required. Experience 2 years commercial roofing service technician experience preferred. Skills & Requirements Minimum 18 years of age. Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Successful pre‑employment drug and agility tests. Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall. Ability to lift 100 lb or more. Successful background check. Ability to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions and high temperatures. Capable of bending over most of the day and working on knees excessively throughout the day. Able to pass a government background check per project requirements. Knowledge of basic roofing tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Working Conditions | Environment | Special Requirements Full‑time onsite. Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, state, and federal regulations.
