Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer

To support U.S. NRC licensing submittals, the contract Safety Analysis Engineer, Nuclear will perform deterministic nuclear safety analysis and transient modeling using RELAP5-3D, while working remotely for a duration of 12 months. Key responsibilities Perform deterministic safety analysis and transient modeling for the Natrium sodium fast reactor Analyze design basis accidents and licensing basis events to support reactor licensing with the US NRC Develop safety analysis reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams on licensing documentation Required qualifications B.S. in nuclear engineering or relevant field with 10+ years of experience, or M.S./Ph.D. with 5-7+ years of experience Extensive experience in nuclear safety analysis and reactor system modeling Proficiency with safety analysis software such as RELAP5, TRACE, or similar Strong knowledge of nuclear systems thermal-hydraulics and reactor physics Experience in transient and accident analysis for NRC submittals
