Manufacturing Buyer

Job description:

An international manufacturer is seeking a Buyer to join their Supply Chain team in Greenville, SC.

This role will focus on supplier coordination, procurement execution, andcost optimization across engineered components in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support sourcing strategy across existing and new suppliers, products, and engineering changes
• Manage SAP item masterdata, purchaseorders, and supplier setup
• Execute RFQs, pricing negotiations, and contractdiscussions
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and BOM savings projects
• Monitor and improve supplier on-time delivery and capacity
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering changes
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers
• Assist with import/export and customs-related procurement activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing procurement or sourcing
• Experience purchasing engineered or technical components
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Experience with negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
