Commercial HVAC Refrigeration Technician

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Commercial HVAC Refrigeration Technician in Las Vegas, NV to support and grow commercial mechanical operations across the region.

Impact

Maintain commercial refrigeration systems that protect food safety and product integrity.

Cut energy waste through tuning, controls, and component upgrades.

Support 24/7 customer uptime across grocery, cold storage, and industrial accounts.

Coach junior techs on safe refrigerant handling and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Service rack systems, walk-in coolers, freezers, and process refrigeration.

Diagnose compressor, evaporator, condenser, and electronic expansion valve issues.

Recover, evacuate, and recharge per EPA Section 608.

Read and troubleshoot piping and instrumentation diagrams.

Coordinate with controls techs on case controllers and energy management systems.

Document service work in field service software.

Maintain a clean, well-stocked service vehicle.

Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response.

Requirements

Must-Haves

4+ years of commercial or industrial refrigeration service.

EPA Universal refrigerant certification.

Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record.

Nice-to-Haves

CO2 transcritical, ammonia, or natural refrigerant experience.

RETA CARO or CIRO certification.

Familiarity with CPC, Danfoss, or Carel controllers.
