Mammography Technologist CWR
Job SummaryThe Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammography examinations following ACR requirements. This role involves conducting diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations on patients of various age groups, assisting with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, breast localization, and other radiologic-guided procedures. The technologist ensures proper patient care, equipment operation, and compliance with ACR, MQSA, NJ State, and FDA standards. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Licensed Mammography Technologist.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Must have ARRT certification.
- Must obtain mammography certification within the first three months of employment.
- Active Diagnostic Radiography License.

- Needle localization procedure assistance.
- Specimen radiography.
- Breast anatomy and pathology knowledge.
- Knowledge and application of BI-RADS®.
- Image quality assessment and optimization.
- Quality control (QC) testing.
- Mammography equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- MQSA compliance and documentation.
- ACR accreditation standards.
- Patient screening and history collection.
- Infection prevention and standard precautions.
- Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) knowledge (if applicable).
- Bone Density (DEXA) scanning (if applicable).
- EMR/Epic documentation.
- PACS image management.
- SecureView/Hologic workstation proficiency (or equivalent).
- Equipment calibration and daily QC.
- Medical terminology.
- HIPAA compliance.
- CPR/BLS certification.
