A contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Occupational Therapist who specializes in serving school settings near Dover, DE. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) supports K-12 students with a strong focus on intervention, assessment, and collaboration within an educational team environment. Key Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Demonstrated experience (4–5 years preferred) working in schools, particularly with students requiring individualized educational interventions
  • Previous exposure to supporting students with autism or behavioral challenges highly desirable
  • Comfortable conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and working collaboratively with educators and families
  • Ability to reliably commute and maintain punctuality and professionalism
  • Successful completion of drug screening and fingerprint/background check required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services and assessments for students with diverse needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, special education staff, and families to support students’ IEPs
  • Design and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual student goals
  • Maintain required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, administrators, and parents regarding student progress
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and school policies regarding attendance and professional conduct
