Role Description The Landscaping Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Connecticut, United States. This role oversees day-to-day field operations, including scheduling crews, coordinating equipment and materials, and ensuring jobs are completed on time and to quality standards. The manager will supervise landscaping teams, provide hands‑on guidance in maintenance and installation tasks, monitor safety practices, and address on‑site issues promptly. Responsibilities include communicating with clients, preparing work orders, tracking project progress, and supporting budgeting and cost control related to labor and materials. The role also involves training staff, implementing process improvements, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient and compliant operations. Qualifications Experience managing landscaping or grounds maintenance operations, including crew supervision and scheduling. Knowledge of landscape maintenance and installation practices (e.g., mowing, pruning, planting, irrigation basics, hardscape installation). Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, work orders, and site layouts. Strong organizational and time‑management abilities to coordinate multiple projects and teams. Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and vendors. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety practices and regulatory compliance. Basic proficiency with scheduling tools, spreadsheets, or field management software. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to operate landscaping equipment safely is a plus. Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role within landscaping, construction, or facilities management preferred.
