Senior Technical Project Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of software development projects, requiring engagement from multiple teams. The ideal candidate will guide teams in Agile/Scrum frameworks, manage risks, and ensure deliverables meet client expectations in functionality, quality, and timeline within a large-scale technology migration environment.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and end-to-end management and delivery of defined deliverables
• Communicate work objectives, coordinate delivery, manage risks, ensure compliance with standards, and provide end-to-end visibility into project health
• Ensure execution and delivery meet client expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost
• Guide teams in Agile frameworks (Scrum) and ensure adherence to Agile principles
• Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery, including kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, and Agile ceremonies
• Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
• Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the Scrum team
• Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations
• Remove impediments to the team's progress and shield the Scrum team from distractions
• Foster continuous improvement by encouraging teams to adapt and improve based on feedback from retrospectives
• Manage project financials and ensure resources are allocated effectively
• Gather and facilitate status updates for stakeholders and leadership
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is clear, prioritized, and aligned with business needs
• Coach the team in Agile practices to encourage self-organization and empower team ownership
• Ensure deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in a senior-level project management role
• Must have experience leading or managing software development engagements
• Strong technical understanding
• Experience coordinating with multiple technology teams, partners, and application/API consumers
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Experience with a similar large-scale technology migration, particularly within a financial institution, is highly valuable

Desired skills:

• Prior experience in WebMethods or Spring Boot transformation

Pay range: $50.39 - $58.39 per hour
