Associate Attorney

Attorney recruiting exceptional legal talent for Am Law 200 and boutique firms nationwide Preeminent non-partisan boutique in the San Francisco Bay Area has an exciting opportunity for a junior associate attorney to join their Political Law group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience with government, political, regulatory, or similar work or a demonstrated interest in political law. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly-functioning practice to gain experience and receive meaningful mentorship while working on interesting legal issues for a variety of clients. Responsibilities Research legal issues and offer guidance on federal, state, and local campaign finance, lobbying, and ethics laws Provide advice and counsel on the formation and maintenance of ballot measure and independent expenditure committees Assist with the preparation of campaign finance and lobbying reports Present on political law compliance issues in client trainings, seminars and conferences Advise on nonprofit compliance and governance issues Qualifications Strong academic credentials (top 20%) Outstanding research and writing skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills A member in good standing with the California Bar National candidates encouraged to apply Compensation range is $160,000 to $200,000+, based on factors including local market data, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, longevity, and relevant degrees, licensing and certifications.
