JOB TITLE: Night Manager (Full-Time – Overnight)

Residence Inn by Marriott – Prescott, AZ

Residence Inn by Marriott is seeking a dependable, experienced, and service-focused Night Manager to oversee hotel operations during the overnight shift. This is a full-time leadership position responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining hotel security, completing nightly financial processes, and serving as the Manager on Duty while the executive leadership team is off property.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Night Manager, you will oversee all overnight hotel operations while ensuring the property is safe, secure, clean, and prepared for the following business day. This position requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to work independently while maintaining Marriott brand standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the Manager on Duty during overnight hours.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting guests and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
• Perform guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and room assignments.
• Complete the Night Audit process and reconcile all daily financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare reports, paperwork, and documentation for hotel leadership.
• Monitor hotel security by conducting routine property walks and ensuring guest and associate safety.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established hotel safety procedures.
• Assist guests with amenities, room moves, transportation information, and special requests.
• Coordinate overnight communication with Housekeeping and Maintenance regarding issues requiring follow-up.
• Ensure the front desk, lobby, market, and public areas remain clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Balance cash, credit card transactions, and other financial records.
• Maintain detailed pass-along notes and communicate overnight activities to the morning leadership team.
• Enforce Marriott brand standards, hotel policies, and operational procedures.
• Handle guest recovery situations with professionalism and sound judgment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous hotel Front Desk, Night Audit, or hospitality supervisory experience preferred.

• Leadership or management experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn Marriott systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask while remaining calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

SCHEDULE

Full-Time

• Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM / 10PM - 8AM
• Four to five overnight shifts per week
• Weekend availability is required.
• Open availability for overnight scheduling is preferred.
