Oncology Nurse Navigator

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator to support its new Outpatient Oncology Program. This role will coordinate patient care from diagnosis through treatment, provide education and support to patients and families, and collaborate with healthcare providers and ancillary departments. Occasional chemotherapy infusions may be required.

Role Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care throughout the oncology treatment process, from diagnosis to follow-up.
• Provide comprehensive education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and care pathways.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, pharmacy, infusion staff, and other departments to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Administer chemotherapy infusions as needed on occasion.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification required.
• Previous oncology patient navigation or care coordination experience is required.
• Oncology infusion experience is essential.
• EPIC Beacon experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, patient education, and care coordination skills are necessary.

Please note that due to holiday scheduling, hours will not be guaranteed during the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
