Work Environment As a Mental Health Counselor within our organization, you will operate in a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility and convenience while ensuring that you remain connected with clients across diverse backgrounds. Although primarily remote, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team through virtual platforms. This team includes psychologists, social workers, and addiction specialists, all focused on delivering integrated care that prioritizes patient well-being and recovery. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and screenings that evaluate clients' mental health and substance use history to develop personalized treatment plans. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing effective evidence-based methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Collaborate closely with a diverse treatment team, engaging with medical professionals and case managers to ensure seamless client care. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards. Provide educational resources and support to clients' families, fostering a supportive environment that aids the recovery process. Monitor and evaluate client progress to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Patient Population / Client Focus The clients you will serve include individuals with complex mental health conditions, as well as those engaged in substance use recovery. Our unique focus on neurodiversity means that you will work with clients from varied backgrounds, including those coping with conditions such as autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. The objective is not only to treat the symptoms of mental illness but to address the individual needs and strengths of each client, ensuring they have a tailored path towards recovery and well-being. Qualifications A current and valid license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required. A master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is mandatory. Demonstrated specialized training or experience in addiction counseling, including familiarity with evidence-based practices for co-occurring disorders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport and trust with clients. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a virtual setting, emphasizing the importance of integrated care. Preferred Experience Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those impacted by neurodiversity. Knowledge of community resources and best practices in mental health treatment and substance abuse recovery. Prior experience in a community health clinic or similar setting is advantageous. Compensation and Benefits A competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and licensure.
