Metal Fabricator

Polisher and Buffer Join our dynamic team where you will start in the grinding department, utilizing a hand grinder to smooth out rough edges and achieve a polished metal finish. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in basic fabrication, cutting metal to length with precision using a tape measure, and engaging in tasks such as brake pressing, spot welding, buffing, and racking for paint. You will also assist in other departments, including assembly, packaging, and paint, as needed. Responsibilities Smooth out rough edges and polish metal using a hand grinder. Cross-train in basic fabrication tasks, such as cutting metal to length. Utilize brake press, spot welding, and buffing techniques. Assist in other departments like assembly, packaging, and painting as necessary. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience, school, or hobbies. Experience with sheet metal grinding. Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic math. Proficiency with hand and power tools, welding, and fabrication. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience. Experience in reading tape measures and using hand and power tools. Experience in shop classes such as welding, automotive, woodworking, or machine/tool. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Anoka, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.75/hr.
