Qualifications & Certification:
- Valid North Carolina Special Education License
- Required state-mandated credentials and certifications
- Prior experience with behavioral intervention strongly preferred
- Experience working with high school-aged students is an asset
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction according to IEPs for high school students
- Develop lesson plans tailored to meet diverse learning needs and behavioral goals
- Manage classroom behaviors and implement effective behavior management strategies
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, goals, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Partner with families and support professionals to ensure student growth
