Tech Lead Electrical Engineer | Embedded Systems & Hardware Development

As Tech Lead Electrical Engineer, you'll own the full hardware lifecycle for embedded electronic products - from concept through production - while guiding a team of 2-3 engineers along the way. You'll drive architecture decisions, lead PCB development, and serve as the technical anchor for both new designs and ongoing product development. This is a role for someone who's equally energized by solving hard engineering problems and helping others do the same.

What You'll Do:

Design and develop embedded electronic systems across products including vehicle lighting, pressure governors, sensors, and control modules. Your hands-on work spans schematic design, PCB layout, component selection (microcontrollers, sensors, drivers, and more), and functional and system-level testing - with a consistent eye toward performance, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.

On the leadership side, you'll provide day-to-day technical guidance to your team, manage development schedules and priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineers, software developers, manufacturing engineers, and product managers to move products from design to production.

You'll also own the broader engineering health of your area - defining and maintaining hardware specs and functional test plans, supporting product validation and manufacturing transition, and continuously improving development processes, documentation, and design standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of microcontroller-based hardware design. (e.g. ARM family of processors)
• Strong understanding of electronic design for EMC / EMI compliance
• Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium).
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a team environment.
• Strong understanding of communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
• Experience integrating wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular, LoRa) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience with test equipment such as signal generators, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory test and debug.
