Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR RN to provide specialized perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This traveler must be prepared to start on 11/9 and commit to a 13-week assignment, demonstrating expertise in orthopedic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Document patient assessments and surgical activities accurately.
• Support patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid NY State nursing license or have initiated license application with submission date provided.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience, specifically in orthopedic surgery.
• Hold current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Have at least 40 hours guaranteed per week, with weekend shifts as per facility needs.
• Be able to float to different units as required.
• Comply with all travel and hospital-specific policies.
