Job Title: EHS Lead Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Lead to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive EHS program for a rapidly growing manufacturing and technology facility in Austin. This individual will serve as the site's safety champion, driving compliance initiatives, employee training, hazard identification, and continuous improvement efforts while helping establish a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

• Develop and implement site-wide EHS programs, policies, procedures, and safety initiatives.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for facility operations.
• Maintain EHS records, training documentation, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Lead employee safety training programs, including new hire onboarding and recurring safety education.
• Coordinate and track certifications and training programs such as CPR, First Aid, AED, forklift safety, and other required trainings.
• Perform routine facility inspections and safety audits to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead safety meetings and help drive employee engagement in safety initiatives.
• Partner with operations and facilities teams to establish best practices and corrective actions.
• Assist in developing an EHS handbook and supporting documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for site safety matters and promote a proactive safety culture.

• Experience supporting Environmental Health & Safety programs in a manufacturing, industrial, automotive, aerospace, energy, or similar environment.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
• Experience with record keeping, safety documentation, and compliance tracking.
• Exposure to Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) development and implementation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter mindset with a passion for safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and influence a positive safety culture.

• OSHA certifications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Austin,TX.
