Con Yeager Spice Company   has been family owned and operated for nearly 100 years.  We supply top quality spices, seasonings, and custom blends to the meat industry, small and large grocers, retail chains, commercial deer processors, home processors, and home consumers. 

****IMMEDIATE NEED**** The candidate we are looking for will be a conscientious and reliable individual to fill our Millwright/General Maintenance Technician position.  This position is responsible for routine preventative maintenance on production equipment, installation of new equipment, and related record maintenance.  Other responsibilities include the overall building maintenance of Con Yeager's production and distribution facilities.  Company tools provided. 

Qualifications for Millwright/General Maintenance Technician

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical/Trade school training post high school a plus
• 3-5 years related experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
  

Skills Required for Millwright/General Maintenance Technician

• Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports, logs, and inventory
• Basic troubleshooting skills to identify problems with production machinery and perform repairs
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Self-starter, yet able to take orders as directed

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Millwright/General Maintenance Technician

• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure safety & productivity
• installation of new production equipment and compliance of safety regulations
• General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing
• Preventative maintenance on buildings
• Schedule and coordinate subcontracted services
  
• Maintain records of equipment purchases, manuals, parts, service contracts
• Properly complete maintenance logs 
• Interact with Production and Quality Assurance management to coordinate maintenance tasks
• Other tasks as assigned

Working Environment

Climate controlled office and food manufacturing environment

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Full Time, non-exempt, Monday-Friday.  Very rare to work on a weekend.  Typically 40 hours per week, daylight shift.  Occasional overtime opportunities.

Travel is required between the production facility located in Zelienople and the distribution facility located in New Castle.
