We oversee the sourcing, logistics, and subcontract administration of critical parts, assemblies, and systems—ensuring on‑time, cost‑effective delivery while meeting the rigorous quality and compliance standards of the aerospace industry. We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Subcontracts Manager and take ownership of high‑value, high‑risk subcontracts.THE WORKAs a Senior Subcontracts Manager you will:Own $10 M–$20 M of annual spend with Sikorsky suppliers, managing the full lifecycle of moderate‑to‑high‑risk subcontracts that include COTS, performance‑specification, and complex build‑to‑print parts.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (program, operations, engineering, finance, contracts) to align requirements, resolve issues, and drive on‑time delivery.Develop and refine subcontract specifications, statements of work, and terms & conditions for specialized materials, equipment, and services that support development, and production of aircraft programs.Prepare bid packages; analyze proposals, negotiate price and contract terms, review suppliers.Administer awarded subcontracts and manage all required change activity, ensuring compliance with contract clauses, internal policies, and export‑control regulations.Monitor supplier performance metrics (on‑time delivery, purchase‑price variance, contract spend, cost of poor quality) and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, including root‑cause‑corrective‑action (RCCA) plans for under‑performing vendors.Exercise procurement delegation by authorizing supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority levels, while maintaining full audit trails.Lead key supplier negotiations focused on cost containment, cost‑avoidance, and price analysis; partner with suppliers to implement improvement projects that enhance quality, schedule reliability, and value.Coordinate import/export of technical data, hardware, software, and qualification artifacts in compliance with ITAR/EAR and other export‑license requirements.Basic QualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited college3+ years of Supply Management experience or related field requiredExcellent communication, organization and project management skills required.Experience in negotiating and communication with all levels of internal and supplier management is necessary.Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.Desired SkillsStrong background in government, international or commercial contracts a plus.Experience interacting and managing International customer/supplier relationships a plus attention to detail, enjoy complex problems, excellent communication and organization skills, project management, negotiation skillsAerospace Supply chain management or related manufacturing procurement experience preferred.Knowledge of SAC Purchasing Policies & Procedures.Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARS) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)Experience with Supply Hub and Supplier Portal is a plusPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
