The selected candidate will be involved in developing basic data, preliminary design layouts and detail design for new and revised parts, assemblies and systems that make up helicopter propulsion systems. This involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Selected candidate will participate in development and presentation of design proposals, detail design and support through the product lifecycle. Layouts and drawings will be prepared using CATIA V5 and/or 3Dx/V6. Occasional travel may be required to support suppliers, customer meetings and reviews, as well as aircraft build support and test.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.More than 5 years of technical background in aircraft design.Experience in 3D CAD modellingDesired SkillsKnowledge of Sikorsky helicoptersKnowledge of helicopter propulsion systemsCATIA V5 / 3DX experienceProficient in Model Based DefinitionKnowledge of Sikorsky design and drawing release systemExperienced in Drawing/Drafting skillsProficient in Geometric Dimensioning & TolerancingProficient in Microsoft Office suitePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
