Each system is custom designed per client based on the optimal solution. This requires a team effort of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, controls, software, and project management. The team will develop and implement a design concept that satisfies the customer's requirement for safety, functionality, reliability, throughput, and expense.ResponsibilitiesDesigning/enhancing conveyor systems as well as various automated and semi-automated material handling systems; may work on phases of a larger project or an entire smaller projectReview of product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements and specificationsCoordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problemsPrepares/Reviews approval, permit, and installation drawings using AutoCADObtains material and product quotes from vendors and issues purchase ordersHelps monitor the project schedule, engineering time, and material costsWorks with other disciplines on the project team to make sure the engineered solution and all equipment fit within system confines and constraintsTravels up to 20% to measure buildings, inventory equipment, commission systems, and interface with customersParticipates in continuous improvement projectsResolves engineering issues by working with customers, vendors and other team membersQualificationsEducation and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Industrial, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 6 years of material handling related experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities RequirementsAutoCAD and/or SolidWorks proficiencyMicrosoft Office skills – Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environmentStrong knowledge of the material handling businessAbility to interface effectively with internal and external customers, vendors, consulting engineers, architects, and installersStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsTeam-oriented and collaborativeSelf-motivated and detail-orientedAbility to learn new technologyMust be able to speak, read, and understand the English languageBenefit Information:Many great benefits to include Health/Vision/Dental/401k with matchFSA/HSAEmployee Assistance ProgramEOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/VeteransFederal ContractorIf you need assistance applying to an open position online, please email View email address on click.appcast.io Posting Min SalaryUSD $85,000.00Job Posting Max SalaryUSD $110,000.00
