Job Summary Help Lead a High-Impact Research Initiative Supporting Community Health The University of Kentucky Center for the Environment is seeking a Research Project Manager to oversee and manage the East Palestine OTA grant and related project activities. This role provides leadership for grant operations, budget management, clinic coordination, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers, clinical staff, advisory board members, vendors, and community partners to support project goals, ensure compliance with grant requirements, and facilitate successful program delivery. What You’ll Do Manage financial operations for the East Palestine OTA grant, including budgets, expenditures, subawards, and project accounts Monitor grant performance and support strategic planning, reporting, and renewal activities Coordinate with project leadership to track milestones, deliverables, and program outcomes Provide support and guidance to subaward recipients and scope holders to ensure compliance with grant requirements Oversee clinic site operations, including staffing coordination, onboarding, and operational support Monitor clinic progress, recruitment activities, and field site needs Serve as a liaison among research teams, clinical partners, advisory board members, vendors, and university stakeholders Ensure project activities are carried out in accordance with university policies and funding requirements What You’ll Bring Experience managing grants, budgets, contracts, or large-scale projects Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to interpret and apply university policies and funding requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working with multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and commitment to responsible fiscal stewardship 4 years of related experience What’s In It for You Meaningful impact: Support a research initiative focused on environmental health and community well-being Leadership opportunity: Guide operational, financial, and strategic aspects of a complex grant-funded project Professional growth: Build expertise in research administration, grant management, and health-related programs Fully remote flexibility: Opportunity for a fully remote work arrangement with approval Collaborative environment: Work with researchers, clinicians, community partners, and university leadership Why Now?
