Part-Time Customer Service Representative

StaffBuffalo is working with a professional organization in Amherst, NY to hire a Part-Time Customer Service Representative, paying $20-$21/hour with a Monday-Thursday 1:00pm-6:00pm schedule. This entry to early-career opportunity is ideal for someone with previous customer service experience who is ready for a change or interested in moving into a professional corporate customer service environment.

In this role, the Part-Time Customer Service Representative will support customers who are primarily dental professionals and offices through a high volume of inbound calls and emails. You will assist customers with placing and following up on orders, answering product questions, tracking shipments, navigating the company website, and resolving issues with patience and professionalism.

The Part-Time Customer Service Representative will also support Clinical Sales and Inside Sales Account Managers. This role is a strong fit for someone with a confident telephone presence, accurate computer and data-entry skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and an interest in learning product information to provide responsive, service-oriented support.


Responsibilities:

• Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls and emails with a professional, service-oriented approach.
• Assist customers with placing orders, entering order information accurately, and following up on products they have purchased.
• Answer product questions and learn product information to provide helpful customer support.
• Track shipments and assist customers with package and order status questions.
• Help customers navigate the company website and resolve customer issues or complaints with patience and strong problem-solving skills.
• Support Clinical Sales and Inside Sales Account Managers with customer service needs.
• Independently prioritize and multitask across customer inquiries, order support, and issue resolution throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience required.
• Strong telephone presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort handling inbound calls and emails throughout the day.
• Accurate computer and data-entry skills, including experience taking or entering customer orders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, patience with customers, and a professional, service-oriented approach.
• Ability to independently prioritize, multitask, learn product information, and answer customer questions.
• Experience in product-based customer service, Salesforce or another CRM, ERP or order-entry systems, dental, healthcare, medical products, manufacturing, distribution, package tracking, or complaint resolution is preferred.
