Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Expected 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per 6-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe patient care delivery
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and ongoing professional development
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Float between multiple facilities as part of a Float Pool assignment — candidates must be willing and able to float between departments across multiple area hospital campuses

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN License (required prior to start)
• BLS Certification (required)
• ACLS Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry
• Must be willing to float between departments and multiple facility locations in the Tucson area
• Patient ratio: 6:1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a float pool or multi-facility environment
