Location: Charlotte, NC 28217

Duration: Contract - 1 month

Pay Range: $18/hr to $19/hr (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Lockbox Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mail extraction, document scanning, and production mailroom operations and a proven ability to operate and maintain high-speed equipment to meet production and quality targets.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain mail sorting, extraction, and scanning equipment, including OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX Falcon, and OPEX MPS 40.
• Receive, sort, and prepare incoming mail for processing in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor machine performance, identify jams, misfeeds, or equipment issues, and resolve or escalate as required.
• Complete all assigned work within established production deadlines and performance metrics.
• Perform basic quality checks to verify accuracy and completeness of processed items.
• Follow all compliance, audit, and operational procedures.
• Support general mailroom functions as required and promote a culture of collaboration and engagement.
• Lift and carry 10–15 lbs as needed, including trays of mail.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills with ability to follow detailed procedures.
• Team-oriented mindset and reliable communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

• 1–3 years of experience in Lockbox, Mailroom, or production environments.

Hands-on experience with OPEX Falcon, OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX MPS 40, or similar extraction and scanning equipment
