Position Summary

The R&D Intern will support key initiatives within the department while gaining hands-on experience in a professional corporate environment. This internship provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to business challenges, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop valuable career skills.

Potential Project Description:

NEOGEN is looking for an intern to learn core skills for R&D testing with thin film components, adhesives and new product development primarily supporting business critical platforms for the Food Safety industry. This person will learn general laboratory practices for molecular and microbiology work, conduct weekly experiments, collect data and work closely with R&D in an industrial laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory daily operations
• Generate data from experiments and analyze data
• Participate in team meetings and project discussions
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners as needed
• Present project findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
  • Microbiology, Food Science or Molecular Biology
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
