Sheet Metal Mechanic / Sheet Metal Worker Opportunity
We are working with a reputable mechanical contractor that is looking to add an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to their team. This role involves the fabrication, installation, and modification of HVAC ductwork and related sheet metal systems on commercial and industrial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install and fabricate sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install sheet metal components
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on-site
- Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with project requirements
- Maintain quality standards and productivity goals
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Mechanic, or HVAC Installer
- Ability to read construction drawings and layouts
- Familiarity with commercial HVAC duct installation
- Experience with shop fabrication and field installation preferred
- Knowledge of SMACNA standards is a plus
- OSHA certification preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on active construction sites
